Annagrace’s labor started about 6:30 AM and progressed very quickly. We went to the hospital at 11:30 AM and Adeleine was born two hours later. Annagrace was amazing. We labored in a birthing tun tub together with our midwife and two attending nurses. No drugs or interventions…just good training and a little prior experience.
Stats:
Adeleine means “noble and kind”. The spelling is similar to Madeleine.
Caoimhe is pronounced “kee-va” and means “gentle, beautiful, and precious” (see Baby Names of Ireland)
Born at 1:28 PM
7 lbs, 14 oz
20.5 inches long
You’ll see in the photos how much Penelope already loves her little sister. Adeleine is very sweet and calm. She has slept so peacefully and only cries when she thinks she’s alone. She immediately falls back to sleep once she can feel someone is near.

She’s just precious! I love the picture of Penelope giving her a kiss!
She’s BEAUTIFUL! I can’t wait to meet her! Love the pictures!
What a beautiful baby! I can already see a resemblance to her big sister who obviously loves the new title.
Blessings to all of you!
She’s darling, what a pretty baby! Annagrace, you look so beautiful with your 2 girls
BEYOND excited. So WONDROUS.
I can feel the peace and joy through the photos. I’m so happy for your family. The blog posting on Annagrace’s blog the last one before the birth is chilling…I can tell she is poised on diving board and ready for anything. I’m glad that anything ended up being everything that you two wanted for this experience. Truly, marvelous!
(Brett from Alaska here) Hooray for you guys! I’ve been praying for you guys and glad to hear it went smoothly. I have a gift for Adeleine and will send it soon! What a beautiful family.
