Penelope Aoife was born on May 1, 2006. P is our first daughter and, well, first child. I took a week off of work to celebrate our newborn and try to get into the daddy role. I should have taken a year.
Balancing being a parent, spouse, worker, and being me is not easy. Okay, it’s not easy for anyone but I can’t write for you! Upon returning to work I found it difficult to remember certain things. For example, I failed to listen, speak, walk without tripping, etc. I just started calling myself “Daddy Diaperhead.”
But who REALLY is Daddy Diaperhead…?
